      This is actually a tough question to answer because cells can change shape and volume. There are also many types of plant cells that do not all look the same such as the xylem (transports water), phloem (transports food) and epidermis (outer cover of leaves and roots).

      If it helps, they estimate there to be 5 – 6 billion red blood cells in 1cm3!

      And I am all with Christie in that this is hard. Blood is easier because the cells are all similar in size.
