For me it developed! First choices were at 14 (to do 3 science GCSEs), then A level choices at 16. After this it was obvious!

It developed over a few months of thinking, around the time of applying to university!

It developed over a few years! I had always liked genetics but never thought I could have a career in it. When I saw my best friend going through a biochemistry degree and I saw how interesting it was, I realized that I wanted to do science. So I retrained by taking an A level at a local college at age 22 and finally doing a Genetics degree and becoming a scientist. My advice would be to just do what you enjoy! Whatever that may be!
