• Question: how many plant cells does a plant have

      This is an impossible question to answer as it would depend on the plant! A plant has many different type of cells e.g. xylem (transporting water), phloem (transporting food), epidermal cells (outside layer of leaves, stems and roots) amongst many others.

      There are a couple of other factors that need to be considered too: like how big is the plant – they range from single celled to the giant Redwoods in California – you can drive a car through the trunk of one which is a part of a tunnel!

      That’s like asking how many cells does an animal have! You’d have to pick an animal first. It’d be a very different answer for an elephant vs. a mouse!
