I have read about people who have done this – although I expect it would depend on a fairly subjective judgement of healthy. Most illnesses associated with food consumption – if not caused by bugs – are quite long term. So the negative effects may only become apparent decades later.
I certainly notice this with my own health. Now that I am entering middle age (did I really write that!) I notice that a few days of not so healthy diet affects the way I feel – sure this wasn’t the case when I was younger!
