Question: Why did you want to be a doctor when you left school?

I didn’t! It wasn’t until I was in my final year of my degree and started to think about what I wanted to do in the longer term that I decided I would continue to study. And even then, I accompanied this with applications directly for employment! A PhD is a big commitment and hard work. In my position worthwhile too, but certainly not easy!
