Both are linked to allergies. Both are associated with inflammation (swelling). With asthma, this swelling is in the air passages of the lungs. With eczema it’s on the skin.A study conducted by the University of Dundee by Professor Irwin Mclean believes that the a suffer would lack a gene that produces filaggrin, a protein which prevents skin dryness in your body, the skin can become inflamed and could develop eczema.
